PullRocks

Pull - Emerging on the music scene in the early part of 1997, have made quite an impact with their own blend of original composition, playing extensively throughout Central NY. Their music embraces the heavy guitar hooks and strong drum, bass and keyboard integration that has propelled the band to the level they are today.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
PULL was formed in early 1997 when several members from the now defunct band Solace Mourner decided to reorganize and pursue a more serious direction. So after a bit of a lineup change, the band immediately begin writing original material and started playing out. People quickly realized these guys weren't just your average garage band, but rather some very experienced players who were full of new life and energy. It didn't take long for Pull to establish themselves as an enthusiastic band with a cutting edge for high energy rock & roll. This talented band consists of Jeff Garrett on bass, Edward Kinney on guitar, Nathan Horton on drums and Mykull playing keyboards. Vocal duties are shared between Jeff and Mykull which interestingly enough affords this band some slight variance in their sound due to the wider vocal range abilities. In late 1998 the band finally gave in to requests by the fans to lay some music down on tape. A three song demo was quickly recorded and released in time for their astounding New Years show. The music was a hit and over 500 CD's and tapes have been sold since then. (Not bad for a 3 song demo) The CD was also sent to Woodstock concert promoters and the band was picked out of thousands of entries to have the honor last summer of playing Woodstock 99. The band continued it's assault of rock by performing several other big show events including Nikstock which was another 3-day NY concert event similar to Woodstock. The year 2000 will bring more new music and concerts. Be sure to look for them at a club near you! Pull has recently released their first full length CD titled AHEAD. It features eight tracks that embrace the heavy guitar hooks and strong drum, bass and keyboard integration that has propelled the band to the level they are today. Since the release of this CD the band have been back out on the road once again delivering to the fans the "in your face" attitude typical of their live performances.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play live but focus mostly on writing and recording. But, we love to play live, it is where we can showcase our original compositions. One of our biggest showcases was WoodStock 99'.
