Pucka Kayuba born in Annotto Bay, St.Mary as Courtney Liston, he migrated to Kingston, Jamaica at age 16 where he attended the Jamaica School of Music and studied Music Theory at the Creative Arts Centre (University of West Indies). Pucka Kayuba has written and produced several songs for local groups and individuals in Jamaica. He has also co-written songs with George Nooks, Pam Hall, Heather Cummings and George Faith. Pucka Kayuba was portrayed as the leading character (Clayton Fargon)in the picture Novel "Triumph Of A Story" written and published by award winning Jamaican writer/artist residing in New York City, Glenwood Lawrence. He released his debut album "Impulse" on his own Kayuba Sounds label in 1994 and in 1998 completed his second album "MISSION". He has now completed his third CD "Peace & Love", featuring drum work by the legendary Sly Dunbar, for U.S. label Loud Dust Recordings, PO Box 8521, Burlington, VT 05402, 802-249-2081, pk@louddust.com. The multi-talented Kayuba enjoys regular international attention from his many fans who are grateful for his exceptional ability to express the elements of love, peace and oneness in his songs.
