PT Phunk
PT Phunk is a Philosopher and beat technician mixing with a Yamaha DJX, Mixman DM2, Roland D2, Korg Kaoss Pad 2, and cpu in production of a wide array of fantastic sounds! My production represents almost every electronic genre, and many different talented artists.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started with computer music in the Fall of '98. I am currently uploaded to Broadjam, Artistlaunch, Ampcast, StationMP3.com, Besonic, MP3.com, Artistforum, IUMA, Musicbuilder, Vitiminic, Audiosurge, AdoptaBand, DMusic, Cornerband, and was on Farmclub, until they were bought out by Getmusic. I have songs that reached as high as #1 Psytrance, #1 Oceanic, #1 Illbient, #1 Funky Breaks, #1 Jungle, #1 Deep House x 2, #1 Big Beat, #1 Old School (Rap/Hop-Hop), #1 Ambient DnB, #1 Gabber, #1 Intelligent Techno, #1 Progressive House, #1 Trip Hop, #1 Detroit, #2 Hard Dance, #2 Tech Step x 2, #2 Rave/Old Skool, #2 Industrial Electronic, #3 Happy Hardcore, #4 IDM, #4 Progressive Trance, #7 Two Step, and #245 OVERALL on MP3.com, one that won #1 song over ALL genres on Broadjam in March '01, and as an artist, reached the Top 10 in electronic on Farmclub. I have played a few parties as a non-performing DJ and have collaborated with the Last Mission Core (remix) project.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No live touring. Many of the songs are performed live in the studio rather than sequenced or programmed.

There needs to be more respect for the cross genre artist culture a la Moby in electronic (who has enough already) and Ween in rock and alternative!
