Progressive Rock

I'm a solo musician creating guitar-based rock music with a heavy psychedelic flavour. All songs are written, performed and produced by myself.
Band/artist history
I've played in a couple of local bands, but really found that I love studio work the best. I consider my mixing desk to be an instrument in itself.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I've given up live performing, but I've done my fair share playing in local bands, usually on bass duties. I like it, but it's damn hard work and the ego frictions became too much. So I've pretty much abandoned live performing altogether now.
Your musical influences
I have a wide range of diverse musical influences and hate restricting myself to listening to any one musical genre. Influences range from Jimi Hendrix through classical through to psychedelic outfits like Gong.
What equipment do you use?
Most of my music is guitar based, and I play a Fender Squier. But I also use the FL studio program to create my drum programs, I play Roland and Kawai keyboards and a Hohner Rockwood Bass. The recording equipment is pretty archaic, I use a TSR-8 reel-to-reel analog 8-Track, a Fostex mixing desk, Alesis MidiVerb and QudraVerb (for FX) and then mix onto CD. I rarely use maximisers or minimisers, as I prefer the music to boom and quieten as a live band would sound like.
Anything else?
Not much left to say really - except I hope you'll enjoy the music that I present to you.
