Proxivision
Proxivision are a group of young Austrian musicians, coming from a variety of styles, joining forces to create a very special and unique combination.
Our line-up includes two female singers, violin, two guitars, bass and drums.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Our band was formed in August 2000, following a very enjoyable Knarf Rellöm-concert. (That's real alternative songwriter punk electronic whatever!)
Never having played an instrument before, we were quite surprised that it actually worked. Our initial line-up of Sebastian (guitar/vocals), (Georg) bass and David (drums) was soon joined by René (guitar). Together, we played our first concert in December 2000.
Later, Christina (vocals) and Sophie (violin) joined, easing the pressure on Sebastian and allowing him to concentrate on his guitar.
After a number of gigs, Eli (vocals) joined us, completing the band.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play live in Vienna / Austria and we most definitely love it!
Playing at the Planet Music, one of Vienna's top locations was one of the major gigs and also one cool moment. Live on stage, staring into the lights, a screaming crowd, hell, that's what you live for!
