record label and media production company.Band/artist history
Formed in 1974. Prolix are also the inventors of the musical genre of Frankensteinian Funk (according to Bass Player magazine).
Prolix consists of nearly 2 dozen members who write and record all songs in their individual eclectic ways. Most songs feature a mix of searing lead guitar, funky bass, fuzzy organ, dynamic male vocals, bone-rattling drumbeats, trembling Tuvan Throat Singing, bastardizing bagpipes, boom boom boom boom beatbox, xyclon zube tube, spoons, spacious synthesizers, and Didgeridoo. Imagine stomping flat-footed through a mud puddle, and you have part of the Frankensteinian Funk of Prolix.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes. Wherever. You bet. Uh-huh.

Hi! I came across your page rather in an unusual way, but I was happy to. I liked very much your rendition to Whiskey in the Jar... a nice singing tone, crystal-clear sound, very professional... Thumbs up! Cheers and good luck from this side of the world (Mexico, that is).
