Project Lee
Lee Landry: Growing up in New Orleans had a great influence on my musical taste. I guess that it was all the Blues, Jazz, Cajun and Rock Music that molded my musical taste.
After moving to Texas I started a band named Vital Signs and we had great success playing around Central Texas but there was a band that had copyrighted the name Vital Signs so we had to change the name. Next was Get Lucky and we had even more success, but there was still something missing. That's when I decided to go on my own and I got the idea for "Project Lee".
Since Project Lee was born I’ve recorded two CDs of all original Rock, Americana, Blues, Pop and more. My first CD Free was recorded in the studio with a few friends and has some really hard driving songs. My next CD Just Me and My Guitar, I went into the studio with my guitar and recorded nine new songs with an acoustic version of Free. You can listen to Free & Just Me and My Guitar on a lot of different sites on the web. Some web sites are (I-tunes, cdbaby, soundclick), and many more. All of my songs from my first Album “Free” are available on a lot of different digital distribution sites for sale and have been doing fairly well. I am in working on getting my second Album into digital distribution soon. On my web site www.projectlee.com you can buy my two albums and get Project Lee shirts, caps, posters and bumper stickers. Check my web site out if you get a chance.
I am always writing new songs and working on my solo Rock and Roll show. Come and check me Momos, Graffiti's, Red Eyed Fly, Java Motion, Big Dave's, The Pub and other clubs around the Central Texas area. Some early rockers who have influenced my music are: Sammy Hagar, David Coverdale, Robert Plant, Robin Trower, Frank Marino, Pat Travers, etc. Thank you for your time and if nothing else, I hope you will remember to spread a little Peace and Harmony to others. That's one of the things “Free” means to me.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Around Austin, Texas.
