His writing spans from the gamut from a warm ballad to the hand clapping and toe tapping gospel performance. He is also contemporary in sound with a dash of r&b and pop in his music!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Singer/Songwriter origianlly from NYC. "Professor" Doug Leacock has worked in the gospel music ministry for over 20 years and has recorded with local gospel artists and written and recorded songs with the GMWA Mass Choir. Doug's song "Give Love A Chance" was a 2002 finalist winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. He also has a music performance in the Academy Award winning film - 'Driving Miss Daisy'. His goal is to bring songs of love and hope to the world.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play "live" at Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Decatur, GA. (services aired on local Atlanta TV station WATC 57 & The Word Network nationally) I'm also on the music staff of West End SDA Church services can be viewed on http://www.churchpond.com.
