Brief History
Pridebowl began in 1994 in Varberg, Sweden and shortly after were signed to Swedens Bad Taste Records, home of Satanic Surfers, All Systems Go!, The Almighty Trigger Happy, and the Weakerthans to name a few. From 1995 to 1998 Pridebowl released 3 full lengths and 3 EPs, and toured Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan and China, as well as a handful of US dates. Touring mates have included bands such as Good Riddance, Strung Out, Adhesive, Frenzal Rhomb and Snfu. In 1998 the band went their separate ways.
The Future
In 2003 the return of Pridebowl is announced and they are immediately recruited to headline a two-week tour of Eastern Canada, one of Pridebowls strongest territories. Soon after, show offers poured in from around the world, as well as some offers from record labels for recording, touring and compilation releases. Since then, 1996s "Drippings of the Past" has been licensed to Freedumb Records of Montréal, QC for re-printing and distribution in Canada.
Important Facts:
Pridebowl was the first foreign (non-Chinese) punk band to tour China.
Pridebowl has an established fan base around the world strongest territories being Europe, Eastern Canada, Australia and Japan
Recipient of a Swedish Voxpop (similar to VH1) Video Award for 1996s "The Soft Song."
The song "Why Not? They Did" was featured in a Swedish Pepsi television commercial.

Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, as often as possible. We live in San Diego, so we usually play there. We're also going to be in Sweden for the Augustibuller Festival in early August and then most likely back to Canada in September or October.
Special moments? All of them..being on stage is why you pick up an instrument.
Your musical influences
Pretty much runs the spectrum...NOFX, Pennywise, Strung Out, Bad Religion, Pantera, older Metallica, some east coast hardcore mixed in..
What equipment do you use?
Matt abuses a dw kit and zildjian I don't remember. and Wayne and Cory use Ibanez guitars and Mesa Boogie amps.
