Prevoyance
Welcome!
Since 1997 I have been actively writing music, but like most of us have had a lifetime love of music, especially the beauty, escapism, emotiveness and pure energy it brings to my being. This is what I strive to create in my work for myself and others to enjoy.
I have had keyboards from my childhood and have also had DJ residencies from my late teens playing visual journey underground indie and dance tunes with established guests. This has helped me understand melody, structure and visualisation, carrying the interest in music along to the point I could afford recording equipment.
Songwriting is inspired by what is going on inside my heart, mind and dreams. More than often Im bridging space and time inspired by mythological readings, films and still imagery/paintings anything I can put to audio canvass and add emotiveness and energy to. Musical inspirations are: world music, classical music, Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk , Enya, Lisa Gerrard and to a degree Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, A-ha , Herbie Hancock, Patrick Cowley, Giorgio Moroder, The Human League and Ultravox - and then of course there are the other later European dance scene artists. Too many to mention!!
So far I have had a Global no.1 on MP3.com and been a 2 time finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest as well as a double semi-finalist and today I continue writing and exploring visual music, as well as creative photography, painting and film.
All the work to date has been a sideline 'weekends, evenings and holiday project to my 9- 5 survival work as a teacher, with a wish to be creating visual music full time. I'm open to vocalist collaborations too.
I hope you enjoy stepping into my world and thank you for listening!
