Precious Little
Chad has grown tired of silence. The quality of the minds of the country are in doubt. Chaas has grown tired with entropy. The rhythm of the world is in doubt. Justin has grown tired with apathy. The motives of the universe is in doubt.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Beginning
Precious Little came to be when Chad got a group of friends together during the summer of 1998. With Lee and Cassie, Chad wrote, recorded and produced the singles Dirty Circle and Fifty-Three.
In 1999, the group released Gopher Coffee. Best described as a diverse selection of subjects covered with a punk attitude, the album was labelled a success by the band. Their first big production could hardly be considered a failure.
Chad, Cassie and Lee played a few shows. Because Chad was the only instrumentalist, their voices were accompanied by guitar alone. Chaas, who was a freelance musician at the time, played drums and percussion for a few live shows. However, once the school year resumed, the band broke up, with plans to come back together the following summer.
Rebirth
The following summer came and went with very little activity. The band remained idle. With Precious Little on hold, Chad wrote many songs, but never recorded them. In April 2002, he grew tired of the silence. Precious Little's voice needed to be heard, so he made some calls. The first was to Chaas. With several songs already written, Chad needed someone to play the drums. Chaas agreed, and Precious Little was reborn.
With about forty songs written, the duo began recording during the summer. By April 2003, the album was complete. Titled "Pretty Insanity," the album was based on songs Chad had written in interpretation of the Unclassified Transmission #4368, first tracked in 2001. Originally set for a June 2003 release, the band pushed it back an entire year. The time was not wasted. Many tracks were redone, and in the end the band was happy with the way it turned out.
