Band/artist history
I was introduced to the genre a little over a year ago but didn't really get into it until the summer (2006). This is the best outlet for my mental musical fiddlings to manifest in physical sound wave form. My style is not yet set in stone as it is constantly changing, moving from one sound to another.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play live at Radio Glendon in Toronto and around the GTA with our group and greatest concern, Bonsai Forestry. Gaspedal is a side project with Shagra. I'm still trying to perfect a system of organization while playing live. Acquiring and learning about new gear always intrigues me.
Your musical influences
Who: Andy Kaufman, Eric San, John Bonham, John Lennon, King Crimson, Mouthus, Socrates What: animals, avant-garde, birds, death, dreams, expressionism, glances/gleams, heartbeats, (the) hyperreal, insects, life, mimes/mimesis/mimicry, reality, strides, surrealism, things that can fly, trains, walking
What equipment do you use?
I'd rather not say. It ruins the listeners' imaginations. Just listen to it for what it is. My equipment is nothing without my mind.
Anything else?
Preacher Creature is set for a 3" cd-r release in 2007, untitled as of yet. I also appear in Bonsai Forestry, playing live radio shows, basement shows, and constantly recording. Preacher Creature is also one half of Gaspedal (w/Shagra). A Shagra/Preacher Creature split tape is in pre-production. Catch Bonsai Forestry live every week on Radio Glendon...returning in the Fall of 2007! www.ckrgfm.com/listenlive.html
