POPS(Tha Prince)
On the dawn of a new era the hip hop era a child was born to a young teenage couple in Memphis, Tennessee. They named him Jovan Hosea Perry. His father being a prominent and significant figure in the projects in which he would be confided in and at times considered a king so would be the title he would live and die by. As his oldest son and first in line to inherit the throne, Jovan creatively named after his father Joseph with a French diction would come to be known as Pop’s Prince of the Projects.
The only child to a determined and focused mother who would struggle yet strives to make it from welfare mom to an accomplished black businesswoman. She often found it hard to excel with her more than usual trouble child, and given her opportunity to provide from abroad Pop’s stayed with his aunt and grandmother in the family’s home. Where to his advantage, he learned the game and how to hustle having a list of short comings but also accomplishments.
Pop’s found himself on the dawn of a new hustle with Rap having been a long since fan and product of hip hop. It seems only natural that the two would come to rely on each other to provide a voice for those who can’t speak for themselves. To bring back swagger, creativity, and substance to the world that is Hip Hop.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Me and my street affilates came together threw other buisness deals and decided to put out real music, wit real talk, for people in real situations and hoods everywhere since 2000.
