songs from a twin cities basement I'm Eric Kalenze, and Gawker Slowdown is the name I've given my little musical hobby. While I'm currently in a state of semi-retirement from music, I still write and play out occasionally. All songs on this site were written, performed, and recorded by me in my Twin Cities basement.
Showbands were my life for over 20 years along with the road. Whatever you need played, I will do it...no questions asked! This is about me...freelance drummer, recording artist and ex professional musician. Over 35 years in the business, 21 full time with the 2nd Coming Showband, The Admirals, Fantasy, Brass Managerie and a bunch of others. Percussion degree from Towson State University, teaching degee, fluent in recording and production.
