Pocketsize are a three-piece 'alt-punk' band from Darlington, North-East England. Line-up:

Jon and Tom had been playing punk covers for a good couple of years before realising it was actually quite easy to write your own songs and still sound a bit like Green Day. So we duly wrote some, and played one gig (supporting Solanoid under the name FNM) before bass player Pete decided to leave to pursue a career on the stage.
We'd known Thom Faulkner as the cool older kid in school, before realising he has the same mental age as us. He'd played in bands such as Retaxus and the legendary No Beef Pedro,and he was more than willing to provide the missing low frequencies. Many names (such as Rich By Noon, Idiot Box and Azwethinkweiz - note the Incubus connection) were rejected before those lovely people at Vaseline inadvertently gave us 'Pocketsize'. We got together to write some songs and our first gig was at the Carmel Battle of the Bands in January, where we came 3rd despite being (almost) the lamest band there. We got better though and now we'd like to think we're actually quite good.
