Pirata Rossa
hi! we are pirata rossa from austria and we make a mixture of ska/swing/reggae.
in winter 06/spring 07 we recorded our first 5 songs in a semiprofessional studio, but we will record another 5 songs this summer (2007). if you want to know more about us, check our homepage or our myspace!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
we founded in 2004 and after some member changes, we started to be productive and made own songs. now we are trying to find a label (not that important) and to get gigs (important).
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
we have played many concerts since 2004. now that we have a band with 7-9 members, we are training once a week to make songs. we love to play live, its a gorgeous feeling to be on stage!
Your musical influences
bands like "the specials", "the slackers" have influenced us, but also "the doors", "gunsnroses" or "acdc" or even a lot of punkbands. every music is a good influence, because it inspires us a lot. but its more important to have our own style - and we have it!
What equipment do you use?
the only electronic equipment, we use is a keyboard but with "organ-sound"
