Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Piece Of Art is:

*Klas Johansson / Electric and acoustic guitars, synth and flute.
*Per Nordlander / Drums
We started to jam together back in the year of 2004.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We dont play live at the moment.
What equipment do you use?
We mostly do multitrack recording with a PC and a Lexicon Omega external soundcard. The microphones we use is mostly Avantone, ADK, Shure and AKGs. We always record guitar, bass and drums live in one take.
We use a mix of hardware and software synths. One favourite is M-Tron that gives you the beautiful Mellotron strings and choirs.
The bassist use BC-Rich Mockingbird and Music Man Bongo four string electric basses and different stomp box effects. He also sometimes uses a Warwick Rockbass fretless.
The guitarist plays PRS SE EG and Cort Hiram Bullock electric and Tanglewood acoustic guitars. All different kind of stomp boxes is also used. The amp is a Music Man top with a 6x10 speaker cabinett.
The drummer uses real acoustic drums. For some songs we have used software.

To hit the record button, and start recording the jam is a very intresting way of creating music and also a way of catching the moment like a photograph.
