Phoenix Theory
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Phoenix Theory comes from the idea that we almost never came to exist. 3/5 of the members used to be in a band in high school. The band disbanded after the suicides of 3 friends and the accidental death of another. After years apart, marriage, kids, divorce, discharge from military, living on the road for 2yrs, cancer, and death of a parent. We met up in NY. The dicision was made to go back to Miami and start again. 3 out of 5 members make the core of the original band. With revised versions of old songs, new songs, and a new vision on life, the band is a supirior entity from it's previous incarnation. The Phoenix is a spiritual representaion of our overcoming the emotional hardships life brought, With the subject matter of our music being primarly about our past. The raw emotions of our hardships are again reproduced and relived on stage for the world to see. On Sun. Oct.24 we appeared on the cover of Neighbors in the Miami Herald. We've appeared on local spanish TV. WDLP channel 22. Universaty of Miami's "Live Wire" program, and various school papers. We've participated in Tsunami benefit shows, have Cancer benifit shows lined up, and a 2 time grammy winning engineer that will be mixing and mastering our next endeavor.
