Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Phoenix5 stared 2004, being born of the wreckage of several other bands. Originally we were just a group of friends who liked getting drunk and jamming, but we found the dynamic really worked and the quality of the songs could not be ignored. From the ashes Phoenix5 was born.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Regular special moment come whenever we play, the band members are the right temperament to create and play well as a team. We all feed of the high of getting a song right, nailing a recording. Its the greatest buzz.
Your musical influences
Influences range far and wide, as they do, but specific bands you may find in the Phoenix5 sound include Mudhoney, the Spoilers, the Shins, Queens of the Stone Age. We like to keep the influences subtle, just let them flavor our sound.
What equipment do you use?
Were pretty standard. We have a sound first policy; anything that makes a noise is given due consideration.
