Phlegmatic is a 4 piece experimental metal band from NITK, Surathkal. though in reality we'd prefer being from bangalore.

Band/artist history
The precursor to Phlegmatic started off sometime around november 2010 in NITK, Surathkal when Kanan, Mallick and Sri decided to start off with covers of opeth's bleak and holy wars by megadeth. The first gig was pretty much a dud owing to the exceptionally bad sound output and prof in the first row.
The drive to create something mildly original started off after red-boy joined in. the aim was for a 'pappu's new T' like sound. An octoberfest later - the ideology was that of some real metchul. so started the jam sessions for some nucleophilic substitution .

Just started playing live - phlegmatic's first gig was saarang 2011.
Your musical influences
Pretty varied, major influences would involve death, tool, cynic, opeth, animals as leaders, dreamtheater, pain of salvation, symphony x, black sabbath, megadeth
What equipment do you use?
Ibanez S prestige guitars, borrowed variable = kannan's guitar, ESP F 5 string bass/ shitty ass 4 givson, old vessels, bamboo, boss GT-8, ahuja speakers, lot of cables, makeshift mic stand, vic firth sticks(now replaced by chancellor), ibanez GRG something, toneworks something else, zoom g7

and so the electrophilic ant substituted the interaction of the velocity of the saint who peed on the silhouettes of sand that fell while the sweeper went on the win on the booker prize while cleaning some gunk off the turdinator's closet....
