This is not a band page per se, although there are other artists who collaborate with me on various projects. I am primarily a solo composer of melodic ambient experimental music, pulling from many influences gained over 40 years in music making, so this means you'll hear semi-classical pieces with elements of concrete and soundscapes, rock with elements of experimental ambient music and so on. In a nutshell, eclectic.Band/artist history
I was born in Folkestone, Kent, England 1948, and currently live with my wife and fellow musician/artist Catherine Tammaro(www.myspace.com/tammarofish) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have been involved in experimental Visual and Audio Arts since the mid 1960s and continue to work in both these areas. I have recently written original music for a Documentary film 'The Last Chapter' by Makiko Ishihara (Grand Prize winner at the JVC/Victor Independent Film Awards in Yokohama, Japan) and Bikram Yoga Whiterock. I play guitars with HAROLD, (Matt Poulakakis fretless electric bass, and Jeff Howard on electro drums, software apps audio/visuals). Current collaborations include Anne Sulikowski (BCOM) as A Pretty Sonic Splatter, second release after 2005 release 'It is fate that we met' and a new project with Marco Oppedisano planned for fall of 2008. More details to follow as things progress, (please subscribe to my blog). There will also be some material from The League Of ImagiNations, with Eric Hopper (Sylken), and also a MySpace LOI site soon. I will also be working with Antonio de Braga on some new material. Antonio and Marco have both contributed their talents to two tracks on 'The Abandoned City'. The music you are hearing is from 'The Abandoned City', to be released in 2008. If you'd like to see some sites that inspired this music, I can recommend the following: http://www.englishrussia.com/ and http://seehere.blogspot.com/2005/01/abandoned-2.html It's interesting for example, to open the site dealing with Graylingwell Mental Hospital in Chichester, England, to add a little visual reference to the music, and likewise for Kadykchan, Chernobyl, Promyshlennyi and so on. You get the picture? Happy previewing!Have you performed in front of an audience?I play quite often around Toronto, both by myself and with other musicians, and yes, I like it. All the moments are special. I am allied with the Ambient Ping community, so am exposed to many great talents and styles.
