Philanthropy
Philanthropy in Action
Philanthropy are set to make 2006 a successful year.
Having started with a headline appearance at The Garage in Islington, London on 7th January they are now building up to an appearance at The Forum, Kentish town, where on 21st April they will appear on a bill headlined by Caroline Alexander.
Philanthropy were described by RSW Concerts (Meanfiddler) as “A stunning young band playing explosive rock with echoes of JJ72 meeting Led Zeppelin”
One of their loyal fans described them as “Up and coming band from the Ash Vale area with a wide variety of musical influences, ranging from JJ72, through Placebo and on to Radiohead. Their live show includes an almighty cover of The Venga Boys' "Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!" - what are you waiting for? Check them out! Oh yeah!”
The band consists of Olli Daffarn on synthesizer and guitar, Dan Hertogs on drums, Tim Huzar on vocals and guitar, James Mcintosh on guitar and rhymes and Graham Pether on bass.
Their music and pictures of the band can be found on the web site at www.philanthropy-official.com and tickets for all their gigs can be purchased direct from the band.
