Pheonix Rising consisted of singer-songwriter of Portland, Oregon and Australian blues guitarist/vocalist . They collaborated solely via the Internet and released four songs over the course of about a year, the first of which climbed the Soundclick.com pop/rock charts rapidly. "Don't Let Go" became there on New Year's Day, 2007 and continues to be popular even today.
However, the largest ocean in the world proved to be a bigger obstacle than they imagined, causing scheduling issues, holdups in producing and releasing new songs, and too great an expense to allow for live performance. , and refocused on their own musical projects.
