phektus

phektus is the amalgamation of eccentric beats and traditional sounds with a bit of funkiness and psychedelic rhythms.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
phektus started as a bassist in 2007. As he progressed in the instrument, he encountered the book "Music Lesson" by Victor Wooten, where in one of the lessons was that the bass does not make the Music, it was the bassist (person). That opened up his mind in exploring other avenues, genres and instruments. Now it's an ongoing experiment with traditional sounds and new approaches. Everything from pop, rock, hip hop, electronica, etc. After all, it is just one long note since the creation of the universe.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Mostly in parties and church. Nothing beats live. Rules are begging to be broken.
Your musical influences
Jimi Hendrix, Tupac Shakur, FrancisM, Caliph8, Beatles, Jamiroquai, Thievery Corp., Pinikpikan, Drip, etc.
