Larry Hensen: I doubt you'll return to read this, but YOU, sir, seem like an unaccomplished baffoon who's making a poor attempt at passing for an industry insider. The band's you listed are novelty acts at best, and those types of bands are succeeding because little girls like novelties, and parents like to spend money on their little girls. Really, the darkness equating to a new musical direction?.... sure.. *cough*.
Bands like pheen represent real music, artistry coming from the artist and not their sponsor. Yes, they resemble a handful of other bands. Good, I like those bands. I don't like the crap you mentioned. You like it because you're from L.A. and you're told to like it. We here in the middle of nowhere happen to think your crap sucks.

Let me first tell you about myself. My name is Larry I am a talent scout for Flyer Records based out of Los Angeles. I have been a working musician for 30+ years, mainly doing studio work, and got involved with Flyer Records through that. I have been a talent scout for them the last 7 years. My job is to search for talent, and when asked for critque, to be honest. PHEEN: You have a good sound, however, this is a sound of a band that I can hear in any town, in in city, in any state. There is nothing groundbreaking or unique about your sound, something very important in our search. The guitar is average at best, average drums, average vocals. My best advice to you is to quit trying to sound like so many other bands, and develop something significant. You have a long road ahead of you. Looking at your profile, I don't know what kind of scene Ft Wayne, IN has but you have to get out, and move around. Basing yourself in one town, even Hollywood, will get you no where. Get out and
