The Short short SHORT version of the PHATBOI2000 Story: Coming out of the ICT (Wichita, KS), you come in contact with a lot of so called Emcees. People that strive to live the urban dream of Making it and becoming superstars. If that is your pleasure then by all means go for it, however if taking someones style and way of life and copying it and then saying that you made it up is your way of doing things then my friend you are a BITTER!!!! Enter Phatboi2000, Maddwest, USAs best kept secret. He has been on 5 different local labels before deciding to venture off on his own to pursue his on dream. The eldest of 8 children. Phatboi2000 (Born Macadonna C. Restless..well sort of!!!) was always into music. Between his Uncle the legendary A.J. Jones, his son Local D.J. King AntDilla a.k.a. Phatkat, and the regional super group Danoiz & Maestro. Phatboi2000 has a lot of musical talent. His style is years in the making. His love for Hip hop is pure and UN biased. From KRS-one to Scarface to Redman to Brotha Lynch hung. He loves all types of music. From Rock to 80s pop, to Country music. His rap career started when he was only 11 years old in Fayetteville, NC. He started a local nebrohood rap group called Da Kidz with his old childhood friends Carlos Jackson, Allen Thompson, Printes & Charles Williams & T.J... They basically sang and danced through elementary school and won girls hearts with many talent show victories. But Phatbois mother issue with staying in one place caused him to move coast to coast quite frequent. Moving out to Sacramento, CA. Got him into his West coast life. Too Short, MC Ehit, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and many others. He also learned to love R&B artist like Johnny Gill, Keith Sweat, Sade, Jody Watley, and many others. Heading back to his home in the ICT, a young optimistic Phatboi2000 (then Youngchaoss) was ignorant with his gift. Rapping about gang life and reppin for a gang that he was not apart of. He hung out with his best friend Red Devil and his lil cousin Mikey. He terrorized the Northsyde with his hard swagger. Not a very good time for the emcee. It wasnt until Red Devil was killed during a robbery that Phatboi2000 decided that banging was not for him. Jumping right into his religion and trying to turn a new leaf. The love for hip hop was always a monkey on his back. He decided that the name Youngchaoss was not a very good name to portray the new found inner goodness in him. He then Changed his name to Bigg-Head da Meecies Cause they Hated Meecies 2 pieces!! Connecting with his cousin Big Will and his friends Tyreese (Blaque Ty), Dherius (Babye-D), Valouis (Big-V), Antwon Pringle, and a whole team of singers and rappers. They formed a new Crew called N.W.O. (New world order). They never did anything with there alliance but the experience was enough for the crew to form a long time bond. Recording there own type of music to instrumentals bought from local music store Music & More. He was able to develop his own style of emcee skills. But it wasnt enough. He was determined to become the best. After the N.W.O. broke up, Phatboi2000 then 15 decided that he would take a break from rapping when his cousin AntDilla decided to start his D.J. Company Phatkat Entertainment. Learning the skills to rock the crowd like his older cousin and uncle. Phatboi2000 developed his stage presents from keeping the crowd entertained while Phatkat took brief breaks between sets. During the Phatkat Era Phatboi2000 made a huge choice to venture off to Manhattan, KS due to his hate for High school which he feels was a waist of time for him. And joined Flint hills Job Corps. There he really got his stage presents training. By joining and changing the D.J. club and rocking parties in Kansas State Universitys AKA and Phi Beta Sigma parties between 97 & 99. He made a short lived name for himself. There he befriended his Partners in crime. Keion Young, Gerick Grey, Phaivan Othonisak, Miguel Ramos, Stacey Lee, and Phil Small. He formed the P-connection. Together they dominated talent shows and created post production for acts in Manhattan with the help of his mentor Bigg Jeff Lemonhead Simmons & Willard Morgan. After Job Corps Phatboi2000 passed up the opportunity to go to the culinary arts advance training in San Francisco, CA to pursue music. Going back to Wichita. He reunited with Babye-D & Blaque Ty and new friend Lil Dave a.k.a. Dave-O to from the street FAM. Anonymous Click. With The Twins Dame & Dane, Miss RE RE, Just-N-Effect, King & Young Josh. They were one of the only groups in Wichita that did there own production and wrote there own songs. But once everyone learned there secret way of doing there production with the MTV Music Generator on Playstation. Suddenly everyone in Wichita became a producer. While 1999 was an exciting year for Phatboi2000, the year 2000 started out as a very slow year. Poor and damn near homeless. Phatboi2000 knew he made some wrong turns in his quest for stardom. With recommendation from his big cousin Will, he relocated to Sidney, NE to regroup. After a near death experience while going 70 miles an hour in Will SUV and hitting some dumb bitch that decided that her 87 hatch back was fast enough to get by Wills 99 explorer. Phatboi2000 re-evaluated his life and decided that he was going to go back to school. That same time he learned that he had an off spring from his Manhattan, KS escapades. After seeing his daughter Lakarra S. Lemmon-Pitmon for the first time. He made her a promise that she would have a better life than he had. Motivated and dedicated he moved back to Wichita. He enrolled in Wichita State University to major in Computer Science & Mass Communications. While he was at WSU. He met S.Poe. Like himself, Poe is a single father and an awesome emcee!! But unlike himself, Poe was more into other cultures, which is what Phatboi2000 loved about him. Along with AntDilla the 3 created Smut Alpha Smut. A fraternity/ Hip hop group that was sole dedicated to the Adult Arts. With legions of followers. Phatboi2000 (Dick I. Walters), AntDilla(Davey Darr), & S.Poe(Dick Jones) created some pretty raunchy videos, songs and traditions that continue at Wichita State University. Also Phatboi2000 turned 21 in 2001. So he threw a major bash at the Club Paradise dubbed The Maddwest Swang!! Very successful Phatboi2000 caught the attention of club owner Robert Forbes. Basically taking the position from then d.j. P-Know. Phatboi2000 rocked the crowd for 2 years with his style of crunk meets hip hop by keeping a play list that would make Lil Jon and KRS-One mosh together!! During this era Phatboi2000 caught the attention of Local sensation Marlon Smallz Starks. Once he heard him D.J. he asked him to join his label Worldwyde Entertainment. After Joining he was quick to let his label mates know that his skills on the mic were as potent as his skills on the 1s and 2s. But since he wasnt a SICC Type emcee his style wasnt respected at all. As faith would have it, Blaque Ty joined the Worldwyde Production team. Phatboi & Ty have a Chemistry that works so well. Phatboi2000 teached him the ways of the rhyme and he taught Phatboi the ways of production. Joining with a then young Ebonee and a new but deadly Dice they formed the new generation of beat club called B.D.C. after there High school Crew. Shortly before he left the label, Phatboi2000 met a young artist named Yesto Da Law and formed Maddwest Entertainment. And along with K.O. a young gifted emcee from Tucson, AZ. B a.k.a. Kansas. A California emcee with a Texas Drawl. And Big D with a style that reminds you of Vintage CBO and Lynch. They have dedicated there time to changing the game of Midwest Hip-hop!! Today you can find Phatboi2000 Producing, writing songs, Writing movie scripts, and working on his debut album Welcome II my World Vol.1: Live at the Hop-the adventures of Leroy Jones. He is Wichitas best kept secret and will continue to keep the flame going for all Wichita artist!!!
