Peggy lives in London, KY and began her career as a solo Gospel singer in the 1970's when a Nashville producer invited her to record two songs she co-authored with Junior Meadors from Williamsburg, KY. The two songs were "Just Over The Next Hill" and "Bless Our Nation" "Just Over The Next Hill" was released to the Radio Stations in 2004 and hit the Southern Gospel top 100 in February 2004 and climbed into the top 50 by April 2004. Peggy's song "Jesus Loves The Country Singers" was number 11 on the USA National Gospel Chart and number 13 on the International Gospel Chart in January of 2005. In February/March 2006 Peggy's song "What Kind of Games Do Children Play In Heaven" was at 41 on the Christian Country Top 100 chart.
Peggy has received awards from the New York State Music Association for Gospel Singer of the year, the Alabama Gospel Music Association for Song Writer of the year, Song of the year "Just Over The Next Hill" and Entertainer of the Year and was the American Christian Music Association 2005 Co-Gospel Singer of the year. In 2005 Peggy also took 1st place at the 58th Annual Daniel Boone Festival Gospel Talent search in Barbourville, KY.

Peggy was born into a Christian family in Sandy Flat (Whitley County) Kentucky. Peggy and her two sisters grew up singing Gospel and Country songs and were known as "The Cooper Sisters"
Peggy started exhibiting at Fan Fair in 1976. The past several years Peggy has been appearing at the Reunionares booth and the Music City Christian Fellowship booth to visit with the fans and sign autographs. Peggy will be at both booths again this year.
Peggy has appeared numerous times at Ernest Tubbs Midnight Jamboree, the Christian Country Music Association Annual Convention, Renfro Valley Gospel Jubilee and as a Chorale singer with The Sunday Morning Country Program at The Ryman.
Peggy recently sang for a Womens Conference in Copan, OK with Melanie Walker, Loretta Withee and Shane Tecza May 10-14,2006. While in Oklahoma she also sang at the Riverside RV Park in Bartlesville, OK and Sunday morning at the Amazing Grace Tabernacle Church in Copan, OK.
