Peaks In Valleys
Welcome to Peaks In Valleys!
-----
PinV. Peaks in Valleys began as a name for a project consisting mainly of electronic instrumentals as I was learning the art of creating music by myself on my PC. Now that I've done so, it will be the name for my band, which so far is just me. But I hope that will change....as I move away from instrumental electronica to my own hybrid electro-live project, more along the lines of the song, My Pace. Check it out....
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Love playing live, have yet to go live with PinV though...This will be my focus for last quarter '03 and all of '04, 'cuz live is where it is at.
Your musical influences
Influences=everything. I truly listen to so much music, it'd be hard to peg it down. I think I'm influenced in phases by different artists...depends what I've got in high rotation at the moment...But if I had to list some:
Radiohead, Mudvayne, Pink Floyd, Tool, Boards of Canada, Jaga Jazzist, The Cinematic Orchestra, Thievery Corporation, LLCoolJ, Run DMC, Ween (for sure), Frank Zappa, RHCP, Dream Theater, Prong, Bruce Cockburn, David Bowie BIG TIME, check out Emm Gryner too ... it goes on folks..I won't bore you.
What equipment do you use?
Fender Duosonic crap guitar, Fender Deluxe 90 amp, Simon&Patric Acoustic guitar, P4 2.53 PC Audiophile 2496 sound card: Cubase SX, Reason 2.5, Wavelab, sometimes Ableton Live. Mic: MCA SP2 condensor, mixer: Behringer MX1604. Old DAT recorder and 4 track cassette, bunch of old water jugs for drums, various percussion things
Anything else?
Independant music rocks. I hope you like my stuff and let me know, but if you don't, still let me know (& why).
Here is a quote from Ayn Rand:
"Show me your achievement, and the knowledge will give me courage for mine."
