I never really knew my father and my mother was a herion addict. I also had no brother and sisters, so I spent the majority of my time in the streets. I guess not having family is what turned me on to the gang life. That eventually turned me on to the prison life. I used to rap about niggaz on the street or on my gallery and niggaz would say I should take this rap shit seriously. When I got home I would battle other mc's for money and that is how I met Kanye. He took interest in me and ended up producing 4 tracks off of my first album entitled 125. Kanye was shopping beats to the R.O.C and Jay-Z was interested in the song Never Change. Kanye even convinced him to use the hook that I wrote. To this day I have not been compensated or given any credits. Once niggaz got the cash, they showed their true colors. After that I found out another Chicago artist bu the name of Cap 1 was trying to put together a label. I wasn't doing shit at the time so I rolled, but never signed. 40 Thievz is a label I regret that went under but it did. Now 40 Gang is the new label in Chicago. I have a few offers out there, but so far they have been nothing but empty promises.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
