Paul M Giangregorio

I am a 21 year old free lance video game composer from Boston, MA.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been sequencing midi data for a long time! ;) My very first sequencer was Sibelius. I was too young to appreciate it (and to use it!), so I did nothing more than noodle around. As I was a guitarist, I found PowerTab's interface much more userfriendly and simple. I graduated to Propellerhead's Reason when it was released, actually by accident. A friend gave me a copy and I was instantly hooked. From then on, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life. I devoted many many countless hours and money to discovering everything I could about midi sequencing, sound libraries, audio editing, etc. You can check out my current eq somewhere below!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
All of my music is composed on my desktop in my room.
Your musical influences
Steve Vai, Danny Elfman, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Dream Theater
What equipment do you use?
Cakewalk Sonar 4.0 Producer Edition for all my sequencing. Gigastudio v3.0, EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Gold, Garritan Personal Orchestra, Voices of the Apocalypse, StormDrum, Percussive Adventures, Countless giga libraries, Edirol Orchestral / Super Quartet, Propellerhead's Reason v2.5, NI FM7. Yamaha CBX-K2 for my key-switching, midi controlling, and data input (though it's mostly done by hand!).
