i make music to challenge myself and to hopefully enhance the enjoyment of someones day. or just something drive home to or clean one's tube. =) my music is an extension of my ego, my inner thoughts at any given moment. i make this sound like there is a ton of thought behind my music..well, nope..i just kinda let it ooze out of my brain then to my mouth and hands.
Band/artist history
i have been playing music since i was 7 years old when my mother taught me piano. since i was about 13 i have been playing guitar. i love guitar and all the things you can do with it...by far i think one of the most versatile instruments today. my passion is creating mood, driven by the combination of tones and textures. something i get true unwavering enjoyment from. i love recording and that moment of creation! taking an idea and mood a feeling and making someone else feel it. but i digress this is a band history after all. i started my first band was when i was 19 years old with good friend/vocalist/writing partner; bejay thompson. the band was called "josette's eye" her and i wrote, wrote, and wrote some more and recited very wonderful musicians to jam with along the way. including my now long time friend dave filburn producer, drummer, audio engineer, fucking master mind. josette's eye dis banded after an almost 6 year run 1996-2001. with a nationally released album "alibi clock" and tons of live performances. after that a friend of mine vocalist/guitarist darren brewster and i started a short lived 4 piece band called "stroma" 2002-2003. then in 2004 i met bassist mr rock moore while trying out for a band. we both though they sucked so we started something ourselves. once we got drummer martinho riberio on board we started writing like mad. i have a catalog of song already just sitting around my head so that helped a great deal. once we found singer heith auman it rounded out the sound and the band had its identity and name: "the empty hollow". we rocked it for almost three years in the process releasing the album "growing slumber" in the summer of 2007, and playing over 100 shows in the NW from seattle to portland and then some. the band disbanded in the fall of 2007. and now we are to the present. years being in band never able to show the world what i have to offer solely. i now have that chance. i hope you enjoy my music!
