Hey!Im a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. On record you will hear my tunes with a full band, or strings, brass, whatever. Live is a different story. I perform solo with acoustic guitar and vocal, in true unplugged style!
I've made a couple of records so far. The first 'sketchy little people' was for sale only at gigs and is now very nearly out of stock. The second 'a lighthouse keeper's diary' was released nation ally on my own label 'regulus music' and distributed to record stores both physical and digital by absolute/universal. Lots of good moments, like making a big butch punk rocker cry into his beer while singing 'runaway' packing out my album launch with 420 people and choking onstage in hilarious fashion because of being next to the smoke machine. Zipping the bassist inside a bass drum case, rolling down a grassy cliff face and landing on my head, falling over onstage at the tyne in newcastle, pogo jumping to acoustic blues and hitting my head on a chandelier, rambling bullshit on the mic, a million hangovers, etc....
Your musical influences
pearl jam, tom mcrae, smashing pumpkins, the wonder stuff, jeff buckley (but I'm not trying to copy him like most people!), anything melodic, acoustic guitars, trumpets, anything a little bit different. No house.What equipment do you use?
I use a lovely Lowden acoustic guitar and too many boxes of tricks to mention here. (Plus you might copy!)
