Paul King
Everyone hears them at least once in their life ...
The first country song I ever wrote - and the first 'real studio' demo I ever made as well - just got a re-do.
A southern rock style Christian song? Okay
"Hey, Now" for Kenny Chesney (pitch). I wrote this song after hearing an interview between Kenny and Bobby Bones.
Originally written for the WWE in 1999, picked up by Paramount briefly in 2000, song got lost in the shuffle of management changes. Still rocks!
Jason Aldean x Kid Rock - "Boys-R-Us" (pitch). 2004 Song Pitchers, ASCAP. writers: Paul King, Doug Cook, David Graham -- this is the public pitch.
Co-wrote this back in ... 2004 I think, with the usual suspect Doug Cook. Talking about how amazing the world is from an "outdoors" perspective and how everything "we" build is just crap in the bigger scheme of the world.
This clip starts with an interview of Kenny Chesney, which sparked an idea, which turned into this song. Imagine joining 80,000 other people in a stadium and screaming "HEY!" as he sings it ... fun times! (radio clip is the Bobbly Bones show)
I always pictured a stadium full of drunk people singing along to this love song - like everyone does to "Sweet Caroline" when they hear that song ... because we've ALL heard the "Famous Last Words".
I haven't uploaded here in a long time, but this was a song I started back in the time I was uploading regularly (and scoring those sweet SoundClick chart hits :) )...
Sabrinax-The Gothic Cowgirl (Sara Storey) sent this to me to work on... we had a good run here on Soundclick with it. I love it, so I brought it back.
