Paul Santiago Jr BKA "Paulito" was born at Boston City Hospital on April 21,1984. Paulito was raised in East Boston, MA where he lived with his mother (Dominican), his father (Puerto Rican), and his two older sisters.Paulito's understanding of street life began at the age of 9, when his home was raided by the police. In the raid both of his parents were arrested and sentenced to jail. Paulito and his sisters had to move in with their grandmother in the notorious Franklin Field housing projects in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Not having his parents around gave room for Paulito to experience the streets. Once his mother was released from jail, the family continuously moved from homeless shelters, desperately wanting a home for themselves. Finally, a housing development in a suburb of Boston, MA took a chance on Paulito's family and offered them an apartment. Paulito struggled to do well in school, he couldn't cut it, causing him to repeat the seventh grade. By this time, school was not a priority for him. Again, Paulito's home was raided by the police, this time he and his sisters were on their own. He tried to do the right thing by staying in school, but the streets got the best of him. Like many kids in his neighborhood, Paulito managed to always get himself into serious trouble. He was arrested at the age of 16 and sentenced to one year in jail for gun possession. He continuously struggled with life's negativity, injustice and lack of support from both of his parents. Paulito spent a lot of time writing about his life experiences, developing a method of releasing his thoughts, frustrations with his words representing all that he has been through. Since the age of 9, Paulito has been writing and rapping, now in his 20's he states, "I'm hungrier than ever". He has teamed up to develop his talent with his uncle Derek Deler a producer/engineer who owns EarthQuake Sound. Paulito's music truly represents his life of constant struggle, and his street life experiences. Growing up, Paulito was influenced by rappers like; KRS-One, Biggie Smalls, NWA, Eazy-E, Tupac, Big Pun, Big L, ONYX, C-N-N. And now, Paulito is ready to let the world know his story.
