Paula Lynch
Celtic, classical, & world music often infused with a rock flair. Silly music infused with a stupid flair.

Water Under The Keel Water Under The Keel
Celtic rock instrumental. A tallship cuts through the waves and fires a few broadsides! Electric fiddles & guitars, blazing bodhrans... you'll like. This version is 128kbps; version at www.lulu.com/paulalynch is much better 320kbps.

The Irish Washerwoman The Irish Washerwoman
My not-so-traditional version of the Irish traditional. You know it - play it! I had way too much fun with the bass... You may buy all downloads at http://www.lulu.com/paulalynch -- check out the freebies too!

The Stolen Child The Stolen Child
Original instrumental inspired by the Yeats poem of the same name. Haunting tune on Celtic harp, oboe, bassoon, strings. No relation to the Loreena McKennitt song. Credit to Steph Polek, my sister, who wrote the tune.

The Boatman (Fhir A Bhata) The Boatman (Fhir A Bhata)
Scottish traditional about a woman's painful wait for her lover to return from sea. Instrumental.

Blackjack Davy Blackjack Davy
A rather rocked-out version (instrumental) that my sister Steph first came up with. Used to love playing the guitar part behind this -- it's in there if you listen carefully.
I and my twin sister Stephanie Polek grew up in Texas and Scotland -- true! We got into creating music on traditional instruments, moved on to creating digitally on the computer as well. My Celtic music is often based around original compositions by Stephanie. She lives in New York and I live in California. If she weren't such a lazy ass, we'd do more cross-country collabs. Heh.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Celtic traditional like Clannad, Celtic rock like Runrig, world & classical rock like Vanessa-Mae. Silly stuff like Weird Al Yankovic & Ray Stevens.
Digital Orchestrator Pro and SoundFonts backed up by traditional instruments for arrangement, MusicMatch to convert to MP3 format, Windows XP to bugger the lot.
Thank God for Photoshop. (Trivia: count the cliches in my photo! Brick wall, half face, Eye Of Intensity, etc...)
