Pashupata Productions
I've always loved music, just never believed in myself enough to make any. That's changing now.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Just getting started! Been playing guitar for years as a hobby, but I've never been interested in covering other people's songs. I hit a creative wall and fell out of practice., now I'm getting back up to speed.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not yet!
Your musical influences
I grew up listening to 70's & 80's heavy metal (think Judas Priest, Ozzy, Dio, Celtic Frost) as well as "space music" (Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno). I still like my metal (and I use that as a blanket genre for anything heavy - industrial, death metal, thrash, prog, etc), wish some smatterings of jazz, blues, rock, folk and classical. Over the last few years I have come to love electronica; trip-hop, ambient groove, house, chillout, dub, some dance and trance. This is what motivates me the most now. I absolutely love a sexy, smoky female vocal over a downtempo beat. Some big influences: Golden Palominos (Pure, This is How it Feels), Tangerine Dream (Zeit), Miles Davis (Bitches Brew), Bill Laswell (Panthalassa remixes - *godlike*), Chick Corea (Return to Forever),
What equipment do you use?
Ibanez SDGR bass, Ibanez 7-string electric, Fender Bullet 150, audio-technica ATR55, Shure SM-57, Alesis Multimix 8 USB, Stealthplug, Akai MPD24, M-Audio Oxygen8 V2, FL Studio 8, Live Lite 7, shakuhachi flute, didgeridoo (not quite got the hang of this one yet)
Anything else?
Totally open to collabs!
