Paris Toon
The man behind the music is Paris Toon, producer, lyricist, composer and driving force of all that he engages in. Paris ritualistically defaults to his gut when the time comes to gather musicians and give birth to new songs. This is the method to his rarely observed madness. Since Mothers Favorite Child is a product of this method, it is only natural that its musicians and vocalists would be chosen to provide the soundtrack to the more deeply shaded thoughts of Paris Toon, the man. The music of the Paris Toon project revolves around the mother of all emotions, Love. As many individuals have experienced, love can fuel so many other emotions and sensations and it can also take many shapes, sometimes making it vulnerable to misinterpretation. Lust, mistrust, admiration, honesty, intensity . . . these are all stops along the way on this journey through a human soul. This is a true Baptism by Fire.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Paris Toon is the Billboard Award-winning lyricist and musical enigma behind Mother's Favorite Child. He is an extraordinary (soon to be published) poet, composer and producer who never seems to stray for a moment from his forward driven vision of success in the music world.
Paris started out as a hip-hop producer in the mid 90's and has done production and remix work for many different projects during his career. His influences range from Rakim and Curtis Mayfield to Sly Stone, Prince and John Lennon. These influences make themselves evident in his Jazz Soul compositions and many of the lyrics he writes. As newer artists like D'Angelo, Jill Scott, Adele and Ledisi came about, Paris's inspiration grew in even broader directions while still holding firmly to musical pioneers from the past. His writing style has taken the genres of Soul, Jazz and R&B to a level unfamiliar to most, provoking intense curiosity and appreciation for the "next phase" of Soul music. With these inspirational forces embedded in his spirit, Paris Toon has set out on the mission to push Mother's Favorite Child to the front of the music lines.

We tour throughout the USA. Mostly Arizona, California, Atlanta, New York, Boston.
