We are Paper$tack Records, a self-produced record label representing Michigan underground rap to its fullest. Whatever you like, hopefully you'll find it here, and if there's something you don't like, we'd appreciate criticism and not any hatin on the comments. Love us or hate us, we got love for all listeners. We consist of two emcees - kaY t. & Breezy, one producer - Alias, a microphone, and a year of experience. Feedback is welcome. PEACEBand/artist history
- rapped with a group called Mob X, included twan from still live entertainment, two latinos, mafia kid and triple r who we no longer have contact with, the group was no real seriousness, didn't use original beats, almost "played" rap as a game
- Kay T. spent summer honing his skills and Alias tapped away at various softwares and keyboards, still not good enough to be serious, but still pursuing it, Kay T. moved into the neighborhood from Pontiac, Went to high school together with Twan from Still Live and the new kid - Rob Maynie, later called Versatil, who would form and join the group X-Clusive (Kay T. (then Kay Thug), Twan, himself, and Alias (then Flawless Beats).
- X-Clusive started producing MASSIVE amounts of music including freestyles, skits, small films, and a full length CD entitled "Xclusive Privilidges" which sold around school and started a small local following. this is where we began to make the music our own, and took it to a new level. Over the summer, we got more and more into hip hop. Performed at Versatils b-day party for a couple people in March of 02. Kay T and Alias produced more and more music throughout the summer as did Twan and Versatil. Xclusive separated on very good terms to pursue rap individually and everyone to find out who they were and what they wanted to do musically. Scouted more and more talent.
- Audition for RJ Rice (producer for Slum Village) http://www.barakrecords.com in his studio. Gave all members of XClusive more guidance, encouragement, and motivation than ever before. Group now produces together once again.Have you performed in front of an audience?Talent shows, birthday parties, no true gigs yet, but we keep goin, still young in this rap game.
