Panic Control
Sometimes, the crack is the mirror, the mirror is the prophet, the prophet is the fool, and the fool is you...
Step inside the mirror, listen to the prophet, and laugh with the fool...
Enter the world of Panic Control's apocalyptic soundscapes...
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Panic Control emerged from the ashes of Snowblind, another one-man project with contributions from singer/bassplayer Quirina. Where Snowblind stood for more or less industrial
and danceable music, Panic Control is more
about sound and atmosphere. I've been around for some time now, and have done various things. If you want to know more, just contact me...
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play live in my living room, and I enjoy it.
Your musical influences
Everything that sounds right, basically. That covers pretty much all styles, if I like it, I like it, if I don't, I don't. It 's as simple as that.
Do I really have to drop styles and names ? Ok, let's do it then...
Trip Hop : bands as Massive Attack, Portishead, amb, Hooverphonic, Kosheen, etc.
New Wave and Gothic: bands as Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, Christian Death, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Nick Cave... Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Creatures..., The Sound, Red Zebra,...
Industrial : bands as Razed in Black, Gary Numan
I also like The Smashing Pumpkins...
Reggae and Dub...
And all other bands I like that don't jump into mind right now...
Music in general, even Classic... everything that sounds good, really.
What equipment do you use?
Ibanez guitar, bass guitar, Yamaha drum computer, Realistic keyboard, various soft synths and samplers.
Anything else?
Enjoy the sound, enjoy your life !
