Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
In late 2003 the first major AsthmaAttack Production was released, Para-A-Dice, "Concepts Under Oath". Due to lack of knowledge and funds the album was inferior in quality and unsuccessful. ..."Yo! We're from the streets. Everything we learned was through trial and error." --J-Dawg.
Reviews of the album "Concepts Under Oath" stated that the lyrics were good and style was unique, but enineering and production was amatuer. As a result J-Dawg and Feedback spent most of 2004 polishing techniques and upgrading equipment. In late 2004, after acquiring a Motiff, MPC1000 and an ASR10 along with a few other things, J-Dawg and feedback began production of Pair-A-Dice "Evolution", the second album.
On January 22, 2005 the Pair-A-Dice 'Evolution' Promo "EP" dropped. AsthmaAttack has big things in the works with other local artists and producers, be on the look out in 2005/2006. "We comin' up boi!" --Feedback.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes at Laura belles on 19th and Uintah in Colorado Springs, CO. We love live shows it gives us a chance to get to know our fans.
Your musical influences
Hip Hop and Rap music in general Dr.Dre, snoop, Eazy-E, 2pac, Too Short, Wu-Tang Clan, now its people like Eminem, Luda, twista, Talib Q, Mosdef, Imortal Technique,lots of underground stuff!
What equipment do you use?
We make our beats on a Motif, MPC 1000, and an
ASR 10 and we record with the help of cooledit pro to and a few tricks up our sleeves from payen dues
