Painfully Honest
I've been sometimes walking, sometimes running, sometimes crawling, and sometime NOT going down this road ever since I figured out how to make stringed instruments work in a melodious fashion. The type of sounds coming from my strings don't really matter because they are always true, regardless how terrible or wonderful they are. The sounds coming from my vocal chords leave something to be desired but are just as true as my strings.
What you see is what you get. I am a slave to no image. I don't tell people to reject MTV and then dress myself up like every bozo on that poor excuse for musical television. I say reject it all. Go naked if you have to. But stop trying to live up to an image. Why do rock stars always have to look like rock stars? Why can't one of them dress like a baseball player for once? If I were a rock star, I would wear my favorite jeans and a comfy t-shirt. Just like I'm wearing right now.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I'd love to start playing live again, but until I get myself a band, I'll continue recording.
Your musical influences
I'm influenced by everything I hear. However, I usually end up going with the lowest common denominator in my music. That's not necessarily what I want to do, but that's what has happened and as a result, my songs tend to be fairly straight-foward and simple. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm still trying to grow.
