Self confessed, life long musician. Music is my love and passion which provides a medium for me to express myself. I love it!!! Started out at the early age of 12 yrs learning piano. I'll never forget getting a wrap over the knuckles with a ruler from my music teacher for not reading the music. She was right, I was playing by ear. Anyway, something must of stuck as I still read music today forty years later. I am so gratefull for the gift of an ear for music as well. A little later in my teens the guitar came along and I learnt the basic's. During the eighties and early nineties I played guitar in a pub rock band and had an absolute ball. Over the past twenty years I have worked in music stores and have gained great deal of experience as a guitar tech. I also build and repair stringed instruments. My guitar collection is my pride and joy. The new love in my life is lap slide guitar. I bought an old Oahu lap slide square neck guitar and there it all started. What a great old instrument. Recently a friend and luthier built a Weissenborn lap slide for me. This is the complete instrument in my opinion. Such big bass notes, classic woody tone with shimmering highs. Some vocals, acoustic stomp box and the weissenborn and there you have it, THE ONE MAN BAND. To me the ultimate way to express myself musically.
