O-ZoNe CorLeoNe
My music is just raw hip hop from the heart. I'm still stuck in the early to mid 90's era. That's the type of music I do. What you hear is what you get. I don't spend mad hours on one song. I lay it down on one take, one time. That's it.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The letter O has been known throughout the industry for some time now, but not as an artist. O-ZoNe has been working in the industry since the mid 90's starting off as an intern for Relativity Records and then eventually getting on pay roll and working with several different companies. Not many artists take the time to learn the business side first before stepping in, but he quickly began to pick up the do's and donts of the game. Born and raised in the streets of east New York Brooklyn and growing up a huge fan of Hip-Hop quickly inspired O to pick up a pen and give rapping a shot. His love for music period is what drives him till this day to get into the studio and make records. After years of being involved in the promotions and management of several artists he is now finally dedicating time to himself. Starting off in the beginning as part of a group, he realized after a few years that the only way he would be able to make things happen for him and his people was to get his foot in the door on his own. Even though O-ZoNe has worked with many people in the industry throughout the years including names like Fat Joe & Noreaga, his goals never changed & always stood on his music. Now residing in Orlando Florida and being able to work in a peaceful environment has given him some positive results. O is currently in the studio working on the EP God Bless The Child which will be dropping in March 2004 through an independent release on his own label PointBlank Records. When he left New York he vowed not to return unless there was a deal on the table. Expect his music to make an impact right out of the gate. Look out for the 15th letter.
