Overdrive Band
Overdrive was formed in April of 2004. They have 4 songs recorded and one of the songs has been played on 94.1 WYSP. They have played several shows and have some coming up. They are a original/cover band.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We have played several places. We won a battle of the bands at the MTC. One of our songs has been played on 94.1 WYSP's Loud and Local. We have 4 songs recorded and plan on going into the studio soon to record another. And thats pretty much it.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes. We've played at our High school, a Catholic school. We've played at the Music Training Center. We have played at Fiddlers Green. We will be playing at Grape Street Pub very soon and at the MTC again.
Your musical influences
We love Rock/Alternative rock stuff. And some punk as well. We like to listen to New Found Glory, Story of the Year, Green Day, Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, Weezer, Sugarcult, Switchfoot, Bruce Springsteen. All stuff like that. We all like alot of the same music.
What equipment do you use?
We have no keyboards or synthesizers or anything like that. We have to Fender guitars. We have 2 half stacks. One of them is a Crate head with a Marshall Cabinet and the other is a Marshall AVT150 head with a Marshall Cabinet. The bass is an Ibanez. Im not sure about the bass amp. The drumset is Pacific with all Zildjian cymbals.
