Ouzo The Band is commonly described to have the same effect on listeners, as the one that someone gets after having jumped out of a plane only to realize at his own surprise that he does, can float into thin air!!!

Band/artist history

Ouzo the band is the Athens / London based electro - guitar - pop alternative duo + 1, of Kari Da Kiss (voice, electronics, guitar ) and Naria ( voice ).
Reborn in 2001 after the split of their former band, Ouzo the band 'positioned' their Laptop as a 3rd member, and from then on, make powerful, sophisticated, surprising pop. Their music is a true synthesis of elements, blending modern sampling and synthesizer work, with a fine sense of harmonies, outstanding rythms, ultra cool guitars, extrordinary vocal skills and musical knowledge combined with ...a great sense of humour!

Ouzo the band's sound is compared to the groups, The B52's, Eurithmics, The Scissor Sisters, Depeche Mode, The Voodoo Club, Blondie and could be described as
a mixure between 80's electronic, free Cabaret style and up to date alternative atitude.
They sing mostly in English but also sometimes use lyrics in other languages like Spanish, Italian or French. They 've used their native language, Greek in one of their Cds 'Romantic Empire' which was made up of their erlier compositions, and their CD 'Psychedelic Summer' is a multi - instrumental, chill out CD which has no lyrics.

Beginning their mission (to astonish the world), in 2004, Ouzo the band traveled trough many clubs in Greece, then via Italy to Luxemburg, Germany and Holand, ending up in the UK where they shooked up their British audience!
Their song 'TV Lovers' was a notable success in numerous radios around the world and the video even made it ( among other TV stations, such as NRK ), to MTV Europe
and Brazil.

Appart from the music, which is the main element of their work, Ouzo the band expand their talend in other artistic areas as well. They make their own videoclips and have also made a few attemts to their first moovie which will eventualy form up in the near future.
They design, produse and host a musical TV show and last but not least make Video Art projects many of which have been awarded and screened around the world.

Ouzo the band record and release their music and art projects from their pro - home studio, then spread their tunes across the globe on the net and samb up, by touring the whole of Europe and beyond...
