Our Lady of Bloodshed
Our Lady of Bloodshed formed out of Brantford and Paris,
Ontario in the summer of 2005 when three members of the
recently defunct Alive in Torment decided to create a new
musical brainchild. They contacted Wally Warwick, a high
school kid with a legendary growl to help with this escapade.
With the addition of Tristan Ridley on bass and Mark Shannelly
on 2nd guitar, they would begin blending a strange concoction
of musical influences including Lamb of God, Dream Theater,
Slayer, and Cradle of Filth.
Their debut show in November of 2005 would be a Battle of the
Bands (which they won) and would give them some free recording
time which they used on a 3 song demo of sub-par quality.
From there, Our Lady of Bloodshed played as many shows as they
could fit in their schedules, while continuing to write material that
was fresh to their ears, and intriguing to the ears of their fans.
In late April 2006, the band was rocked with the news that Tom,
April, and Tristan would all be going their separate ways.
Albeit devastated, the three remaining members sent out invitations
to the ubiquitous 16 year old Scott Martin, and the "7th Man" Owen
LeBlanc to fill in the vacant spots of guitarist and bassist, respectively.
After Scott and Owen's training in the ways of the Bloodshed Arts,
the new incarnation of OLB set out to write new songs, play shows
further away from their home cities, and bring the noise louder
than before.
In October 2006, Our Lady of Bloodshed celebrated the
release of their 6 song EP entitled "Consume, Control, Conform."
Today, they are still playing as many gigs as possible, writing new
material to keep their sound fresh, and growing their hair as long
as their scalps will allow. They hope to one day come to your town,
and make you a permanent member of The Bloodshed Clan.
