O'STEEN

Music Style R&B AND MODERN JAZZ Similar Bands & Artists LIONEL RICHIE, LOU RAWLS AND BARRY WHITE Introduction, Story O’Steen has a musical career spanning over three decades with exposure to a wide range of musical styles. Having grown up in the heart of the Mississippi Delta in the “Blues Belt”, the elements of Blues and Rhythm and Blues are a natural element of his style. Beginning in high school he demonstrated a natural talent for music as a percussionist in the school band program. Within a year of his first music lesson O’Steen began scoring music for the school combo. By the time he graduated high school with only three years of musical training he had mastered several brass instruments and was eligible for several music scholarships to colleges and universities. He worked as a keyboardist in backup bands for Willie Clayton, Ted Taylor, Cassandra Wilson, and many others while attending college at Langston University and graduate school at Jackson State University, where he also worked with the jazz ensemble and the percussion ensemble while serving as a graduate assistant. Having put his career on hold to rear his five children he is now refreshed and ready to release his first collection of material which he has marketed on his own until now by organizing blues festivals and recitals around the state of Mississippi . The music that you are hearing now was composed, arranged and produced using a computer based system entirely. To download free high quality samples go to the link below.
