Orpheus (MN)

Orpheus is a Symphonic Metal band inspired by fantasy and epic legends. Melodic, heavy, and brooding guitars, warm, powerful bass lines, fierce and rythmic drums, and epic orchestral instruments and electronic elements provide the music many layers and great depth.

Orpheus was formed in Alexandria, MN by four friends united under a dream to create music. Dustin, Jake, Jared, and Adam founded the band in late May, 2005. The band is working hard in developing their music, and recording it. We also intend to perform at gigs and play live.

We're currently developing a number of songs and hope to get them recorded. Playing live is a bit down the road at the moment.

Fantasy and history inspired metal bands like Draconian and Leaves' Eyes. We love melodic rhythms and powerful riffs on the guitar. We try to add many layers to our music and produce powerful emotions.

Lead Guitarist: Vintage Sunburst Standard Epiphone Les Paul with a Line-6 Spider II 112 Combo Series Amp.

Bassist: Sierra Sunburst Fender Zone Bass and a BT50 Crate Amp.

Keyboardist: Yamaha PSR-225GM, also programming and mixing on Fruityloops. (Hoping to change to a Korg Tritan and program on Reason.)

Drummer: Koda 5-Piece Set with a 16" rock crash, 20" rock ride, and 14" rock hi-hats.
