Electronica with a semi-classical feel. Orkestra Synthetique is a project focused on creating melodic soft-synth based music. The computer music genre has given artists the ability to manipulate sounds in new and wonderful ways, but I feel that sometimes the music itself is forgotten in the search for novel or experimental sound. Hopefully, people will listen to this music and enjoy the themes first, and effects second.Band/artist history
The electronic music genre was frustrating to me. I enjoyed finding and listening to music that was completely free of human restriction. On the other hand, I thought that the focus was too much on finding interesting sounds and creating "beats." I wanted to write a broad range of music that, simply put, I would enjoy listening to.Have you performed in front of an audience?No. All music is created on the computer.
Your musical influences
For purposes of this project, I would simply have to point to the great classical composers, the popular music writers of the 30's and 40's, my grandfather, and the huge number of musicians creating modern electronica.What equipment do you use?
