The new full-length CD
by Orange Television, titled Disco Is A Nightmare was released in November, 2004.
The album was recorded between May and August 2004
and contains eleven brand new tracks, and by popular demand,
2001's "My Pussy Is Burning" appears on an official OTV
CD for the first time.
The album rolls along in an upbeat electronic mood, covering subjects as
varied as hardcore fashion victims, menstruation, the sheep-like tendencies
of certain gay boys, dead japanese technology, anti-Bush sentiments, old friends,
pissed-off disco divas, pubic hygeine, the departure of a beloved drag queen,
and of course, the great mystery of The Vagina. The experimental centerpiece
of the album is "Starry Eyed Dreamer" which stitches together a half dozen
song fragments into a dreamlike audio collage.
Stay tuned for information about Orange Television live dates this coming
Winter-Spring. The live act is still in the planning stage.
There will be a release party for Disco Is A Nightmare in January 2005 at the Leopard Lounge In Coeur d'Alene, ID. If you are reading this,
consider yourself invited. Please e-mail orangetv@yahoo.com to
RSVP and I will let you know as soon as details are confirmed.

**** Press Reviews and Commentary **** "Modern electronica fronted by semi-operatic crooning from a plethora of female vocalists. File this somewhere between dance and chill - like a melancholy Lene Lovich appealing to the baggy sweatpants brigade" - Listen.com
"Orange Television has put together an excellent soundscape with "Humidity Theme." Haunting vocal lines catapult you into the deep basslines and ambience throughout. Very well done." -SpudWeb
"When you listen to "Spaced", you will enter a new world. One where your normal day-to-day things just dont make sense anymore." -Digital Silence Radio
"Orange Television blends together the best elements of obscure new wave and modern electronica. Catchy. " - About.com
"Amsterdamn" is a riot. Orange Television takes a recording of Courtney Love having an onstage meltdown and laces it over bouncy electro beats. This is too funny..." - Spokane Music
